Al-Mu’jam al-Kabīr Ḥadīth [7473] – From the virtues of seeking knowledge

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ثنا ثَوْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: >مَنْ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لَا يُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَ خَيْرًا أَوْ يُعَلِّمَهُ كَانَ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَاجٍّ، تَامًّا حَجَّتَهُ<

Translation
Ḥadīth [7473]: It is narrated on the authority of Abū Umāmah [d. 86H] (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “Whoever goes to the masjid, not intending by it except to learn good (i.e., religious knowledge) or to teach it, for him is the likeness of the reward of the pilgrim, (reward equal to) his complete pilgrimage.”
