Ma’rūf al-Karkhī

Ma'rūf al-Karkhī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: “If Allāh intends evil for His servant he locks the door of action upon him and opens for him the door of argumentation.”

Ma'rūf al-Karkhī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: “Hoping to receive the mercy of the one who you insist on being disobedient to, is a kind of betrayal and foolishness.”
