قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ رَحِمَهُ اللّٰهُ يَقُولُ: >مَنْ رَدَّ حَدِيثَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَهُوَ عَلَى شَفَا هَلَكَةٍ<
Translation
He said: And I heard Abū ‘Abdullāh [i.e., Imām Aḥmad] [d. 241H] say: “Whoever rejects a ḥadīth of Allāh’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) is on the brink of destruction.”

Al-Fuḍayl bin ‘Iyāḍ on the best of righteous deeds
Al-Fuḍayl bin ‘Iyāḍ [d. 187H] (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: “The best of deeds is that which is most hidden, safest from shayṭān, and furthest from showing-off.”
