Shaykh al-‘Uthaymīn on Ḥijāb

قال الشيخ العثيمين رحمه الله: إن هذا الحجاب خاصٌ بزوجات النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم فنقول: إذا كانت نساء النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم مأموراتٍ بالحجاب وهن أشد النساء عفة، وأبعدهن عن الفتنة فغيرهن من باب أولى

Shaykh al-‘Uthaymīn (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:

“If the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him and his progeny) were commanded to wear the ḥijāb and they were the most rigorous in chastity and the farthest from temptation, then those less than them are even more deserving (that the command applies to them).”
