قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله: فإن المعاصي قيد وحبس لصاحبها عن الجولان في فضاء التوحيد وعن جني ثمار الأعمال الصالحة

Shaykhul Islām ibn Taymiyyah (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:

“Sins are like chains and locks preventing their perpetrator from roaming the vast garden of tawḥīd and reaping the fruits of righteous actions.”
