قَالَ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّٰهُ: مَا نَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ طَلَبِ العِلْمِ بِنِيَّةٍ

Sufyān ath-Thawrī (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:

“We do not know of anything better than seeking knowledge with (a sincere) intention (for the sake of Allāh).”
