عَنْ أَبِي رُقَيَّةَ تَمِيمِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الدَّارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: >الدِّيْنُ النَّصِيْحَةُ< قُلْنَا: لِمَنْ؟ قَالَ: >لِلَّهِ، وَلِكِتَابِهِ، وَلِرَسُولِهِ، وَلِأَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَامَّتِهِمْ< رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

7 – It is reported on the authority of Abī Ruqayyah Tamīm bin Aws ad-Dārī (may Allāh be pleased with him) who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said:

“The dīn (religion) is naṣīḥah (advice, sincerity).” We said: ‘To whom?’ He said: “To Allāh, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk.” [Reported by Muslim]
