Imām Shāfi’ī on importance of love of knowledge
Imām Shāfi’ī [d. 204H] (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said: “Whoever does not love knowledge, there is no good in him. So there should not be any acquaintance between you and him, nor any friendship.”
