Book [33]: The book of government
Chapter [38]:
The virtues of helping the warrior who is fighting in the cause of Allāh with mounts etc., and looking after his family in his absence

Ḥadīth [1893]: It has been narrated on the authority of Abī Mas’ūd al-Anṣārī (may Allāh be pleased with him) who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) and said: My riding beast has been killed, so give me some animal to ride upon. He (the Prophet) said: I have none with me. A man said: Messenger of Allāh, I can guide him to one who will provide him with a riding beast. The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.”

One could guide towards a good deed by saying, writing, gesturing or acting upon the deed. However, to earn this reward, the guide should intend by his action, Allāh’s Countenance; for Allāh’s the Mighty and Exalted rewards only that which is done for His Sake.
