حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ اللَّيْثِيُّ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَجِيبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ الشَّدَائِدِ وَالكَرْبِ فَلْيُكْثِرِ الدُّعَاءَ فِي الرَّخَاءِ
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ

Chapter [9]: What has been related that the supplication of a Muslim is answered
Ḥadīth [3382]: It is narrated on the authority of Abī Hurayrah (may Allāh be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “Whoever wishes that Allāh would respond to him during hardship and grief, then let him supplicate plentifully when at ease.”
Abū ‘Īsā said: This ḥadīth is gharīb.
