حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا سَمِعَ مِنْ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: حَدِيثًا لَمْ يَعْدُهُ وَلَمْ يُقَصِّرْ دُونَهُ

Chapter 1: Following the sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him)

Ḥadīth [4]: It was narrated that Abī Ja’far said: ‘Whenever ibn ‘Umar heard a ḥadīth from the Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him), he would not do more than it said, and he would not do less.’
