Al-Fuḍayl bin ‘Iyāḍ on the high status of scholars

قَالَ الْفُضَيْلَ بْنَ عِيَاضٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّٰهُ: عَالِمٌ عَامِلٌ مُعَلِّمٌ يُدْعَى كَبِيرًا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ

Al-Fuḍayl bin ‘Iyāḍ (may Allāh have mercy upon him) said:

“The scholar who works in teaching is regarded a great man in the domain of the heavens.”
