It is narrated on the authority of Abī Dardā' (may Allāh be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) say: “The father is the middle door of Paradise (i.e., the best way to Paradise), so it is up to you whether you take advantage of it or not.”

It is narrated on the authority of Abī Hurayrah (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “If your sins were to reach to the heavens and then you repented, Allāh would still accept your repentance.”

It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: “By the One Who took his (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) soul, he did not die until most of his prayers were offered sitting down. And the most beloved of deeds to him was a righteous deed which a person persists in doing, even if it is something small.”
Commentary by Dārussalām added.It was narrated that Jundub bin 'Abdullāh said: “We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him), and we were strong youths, so we learned faith before we learned Qurān. Then we learned Qurān and our faith increased thereby.”

Mu'āwiyah (may Allāh be pleased them both) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) say: “There is nothing left of this world except trials and tribulations.”
It was narrated from ibn 'Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “There is nothing like marriage, for two who love one another.”
It was narrated from Abī Dardā' (may Allah be pleased with him) that my close friend (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) advised me: “Do not associate anything with Allāh, even if you are cut and burned. Do not neglect any prescribed prayer deliberately, for whoever neglects it deliberately no longer has the protection of Allāh. And do not drink wine, for it is the key to all evil.”
'Abdullāh bin Abī Qatādah narrated that his father (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “The best things that a man can leave behind are three: A righteous son who will pray for him, ongoing charity whose reward will reach him, and knowledge which is acted upon after his death.”

It is narrated on the authority of Abī Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “Qinṭār is twelve thousand 'uqiyyah, each 'uqiyyah of which is better than what is between heaven and earth.”
And the Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “A man will be raised in status in Paradise and will say: Where did this come from? And it will be said: From your son's praying for forgiveness for you.”

It was narrated that Abī Dardā’ (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) came out to us when we were speaking of poverty and how we feared it. He said: “Is it poverty that you fear? By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, (the delights and luxuries of) this world will come to you in plenty, and nothing will cause the heart of anyone of you to deviate except that. By Allāh, I am leaving you upon something like bayḍā’ (white, bright, clear path) the night and day of which are the same.” Abū Dardā’ said: ‘He spoke the truth, by Allāh. The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) did indeed leave us upon something like bayḍā’ (white, bright, clear path) the days and nights of which were the same.’
