It is narrated on the authority of al-Ḥasan [al-Baṣrī] that he mentioned 'Uthmān's extreme shyness and said: ‘If he was in a room with the door closed, and he took off his garment to pour water on himself, shyness prevented him from standing up straight.’
It is narrated on the authority of 'Uqbah bin 'Āmir (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “There is no goodness in someone, who is not good to his guests.”

It is narrated on the authority of Abū Dardā' (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “Everything has a reality, and the servant will not reach the reality of faith until he knows that what afflicted him could never miss him, and that what missed him could never have afflicted him.”
It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullāh [bin 'Umar] (may Allāh be pleased with them both) that he said: The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “There are three who will not enter Paradise and Allāh will not look at them on the Day of Resurrection: The one who disobeys his parents, the woman who imitates men in her outward appearance, and the dayūth. And there are three at whom Allāh will not look on the Day of Resurrection: The one who disobeys his parents, the drunkard, and the one who reminds people of what he has given them.”
